Quincy Drane hatte ursprünglich nicht geplant, Lichtdesigner zu werden – doch während seines Architekturstudiums verliebte er sich in das Tageslicht. Diese Faszination führte ihn schließlich an die Parsons School of Design in New York City. Heute arbeitet er als Architectural Lighting Designer bei Hardtraf Lighting Studios und gestaltet gemeinsam mit Architektinnen, Ingenieurinnen und Auftraggebenden Räume mit Licht – drinnen wie draußen.

In dieser Folge von Light Voices spricht Quincy darüber, was es wirklich bedeutet, Licht als Material zu behandeln, warum viele Menschen überrascht sind, wie technisch diese Disziplin ist, und welche Fähigkeiten man tatsächlich braucht, um in diesem Bereich zu arbeiten.

Quincy Drane didn't plan to become a lighting designer – he fell in love with daylight during his architecture studies and followed that curiosity all the way to Parsons School of Design in New York City.
